Governor Shapiro announces new Verne Inc. facility creating jobs in Pennsylvania

Governor Josh Shapiro is set to announce the opening of Verne Inc.'s first manufacturing facility in Pennsylvania. The event will highlight the creation of 61 new jobs and support for Pennsylvania's clean energy economy.

Since taking office, Governor Shapiro's administration has secured over $25.2 billion in private sector investments, resulting in nearly 11,000 jobs. The governor has focused on economic development through strategies like the Economic Development Strategy and securing funding for site development.

The announcement will take place on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Verne Inc., located at 285 Marcellus Dr., Muncy, PA. Joining Governor Shapiro will be David Jaramillo, Co-Founder and CTO of Verne Inc.; Jason Fink, President and CEO of Lycoming County Chamber of Commerce; and Perry Babb, President and CEO of KeyState Energy.
