The Pennsylvania Insurance Department and the Department of Environmental Protection will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Underground Storage Tank Indemnification Fund (USTIF). This celebration highlights three decades of service focused on cleaner and safer communities throughout Pennsylvania.
Since its establishment in 1994, USTIF has provided essential financial assistance to owners and operators of underground storage tanks. The fund supports environmental protection in Pennsylvania while ensuring business continuity, exemplifying successful partnerships between public and private sectors.
The event will feature several key figures: Pennsylvania Insurance Commissioner Michael Humphreys, Deputy Insurance Commissioner Laura Lyon Slaymaker, DEP Executive Deputy Secretary Ramez Ziadeh, USTIF Board Member Andrew Greiner, and Nick Ruffner, Public Affairs Manager at Sheetz, Inc.
The celebration is scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00 AM at the soon-to-be new Sheetz facility located at 4415 Carlisle Pike in Camp Hill, PA. Members of the press interested in attending are required to RSVP via email to ra-in-press@pa.gov.
