The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) has announced the participation of sponsoring agencies in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) for the current program year. Through this initiative, sponsors will receive federal funds to serve nutritious meals to enrolled participants. The reimbursement is based on the number of meals served to eligible participants who qualify for free, reduced-price, or paid meals. Daycare homes are reimbursed at varying rates depending on their location and the provider's household income.

The annual income eligibility guidelines are effective from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. According to federal civil rights law and USDA regulations, discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age or reprisal is prohibited in any program conducted or funded by USDA.

Individuals with disabilities requiring alternative communication methods should contact their local agency. For those who are deaf or hard of hearing, the Federal Relay Service can be reached at (800) 877-8339. Information may also be available in languages other than English.

To file a discrimination complaint related to this program, individuals can complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form online or contact USDA directly through mail, fax or email as specified by KSDE.

"This institution is an equal opportunity provider," emphasized KSDE.
