Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity will return a Purple Heart Medal to the family of Private First Class Ray Morgan, a Vietnam War veteran from Pennsylvania, during an event on Purple Heart Day. The ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Indiantown Gap’s Arrowheads Community Club in Annville.
Treasurer Garrity will present the medal and deliver brief remarks at the event. State Senator Chris Gebhard (R-48), State Representative JoAnne Stehr (R-107), and members of the Morgan family are expected to attend.
The ceremony is being held to honor PFC Ray Morgan’s service and sacrifice during the Vietnam War. Media representatives planning to cover the event are required to RSVP with the Pennsylvania Treasury to gain access through security gates.
