The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) has announced the availability of a new Infinite Campus test site for local education agencies (LEAs). The site is designed to give users in North Dakota a secure environment to explore features, validate functionality, and simulate workflows without impacting live data or production systems. It is intended solely for testing and training purposes.

Officials emphasized that the test site is not connected to the live system, so any information entered will not transfer to production. Users are advised against entering real or sensitive data, as security protocols may differ from those in the operational environment. Additionally, outcomes observed in the test setting may not always match what occurs in the actual production system.

The department outlined appropriate activities for using the test site. These include exploring new features before they are implemented, practicing workflows, testing configurations or settings, validating data entry and form logic, training new staff members in a risk-free environment, and reporting any bugs or inconsistencies found during testing.

Users are cautioned against certain actions while using the test site. These include entering real or confidential information, assuming that results from tests are final since performance can vary from production, using the test site for actual business operations or decision-making, expecting that data will persist as environments may be reset periodically, and sharing credentials with unauthorized individuals.

As part of North Dakota’s transition to Infinite Campus through its BRIDGE initiative, districts have raised questions about program tracking and support. The department addressed several of these concerns:

"Summer school can be tracked in Infinite Campus and the data will be reported to the state."

"Not at this time. NDDPI is working to streamline reporting for middle and high school alternative education programs, with more guidance to come."

"Early Childhood Special Education can be tracked in Infinite Campus and the data will be reported to the state."

"Yes. EduTech will offer support and training until July 2026. Infinite Campus will handle all Infinite Campus-specific support."

Further updates and resources regarding BRIDGE are available on the BRIDGE webpage. Questions for future FAQs can be sent to BRIDGE@nd.gov.
