Attorney General Dave Sunday and several law enforcement officials are scheduled to provide details on an extended enforcement effort in the McKeesport area. The announcement will take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Pittsburgh office.

The initiative, which has spanned several months, focused on targeting drug trafficking and individuals found illegally possessing firearms in the region. Officials plan to outline the results of a collaborative arrest and seizure operation that was carried out to address gun violence, drug trafficking, and related criminal activity.

According to organizers, this enforcement action is part of a broader set of efforts led by the Office of Attorney General’s recently launched Gun Violence Task Force in Allegheny County.

Attorney General Sunday will be joined by Kevin M. Kraus, Allegheny County Sheriff; Geoffrey Long, FAST Unit Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Special Teams; as well as other area law enforcement leaders.

Credentialed media planning to attend are required to RSVP with the Office of Attorney General’s press office and may arrive beginning at 1:45 p.m.

"Attorney General Sunday and other speakers will discuss the collaborative arrest and seizure operation aimed at reducing gun violence, drug trafficking, and other criminal conduct. This initiative is one of many involving the Office of Attorney General's recently-launched Gun Violence Task Force in Allegheny County."
