Governor Josh Shapiro and Rick Siger, Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, are scheduled to make an economic development announcement in Lackawanna County. The event is part of ongoing efforts by the Shapiro Administration to attract new businesses and create jobs in Pennsylvania.
The announcement will take place at Century Development Associates, LLC in Mayfield, Pennsylvania on October 8, 2025, at 10:45 AM. Additional participants include Mark Powell, President of Century Land Development; Bill Gaughan, Commissioner on the Lackawanna County Board of Commissioners; and Kristin Magnotta, Director of Economic Development for Lackawanna County.
According to the Shapiro Administration, since taking office they have secured more than $25.6 billion in private sector investments and created over 12,400 jobs across the state.
