North Dakota school districts are being given new options to enhance their use of Infinite Campus, the statewide student information system. The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction (NDDPI) is making several optional modules available to help schools tailor data management and operational tools to local needs.
A key change involves the Campus Foods module. NDDPI is requiring Infinite Campus to install this module for all districts across the state. However, districts can decide whether or not to use it in daily operations. Training will be provided to help staff understand the module’s features and determine if it fits with their food service processes.
"While installation and training will be provided to every district, use of the module remains optional. Districts may choose to activate and utilize the module based on their local needs and readiness," according to NDDPI.
Another update affects districts participating in 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) programs. Starting in the 2026–2027 school year, these programs will be integrated into Infinite Campus as part of a broader move toward centralized data management. This change aims to make data sharing and reporting more efficient for partner districts.
Districts involved in 21st CCLC partnerships will need to provide limited access within Infinite Campus so program staff can view relevant student information for coordination, attendance tracking, and outcome reporting purposes. This step helps ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
