A.W. Brown - FLA Early Childhood Campus issued the following announcement on March 12.
The A.W. Brown Leadership Academy is monitoring information regarding the novel coronavirus, (COVID-19). Our Nurse Sherry is in constant communication with Dallas County Health & Human Services in collaboration with the Centers for Disease Control. In addition, TEA is working with other Texas state agencies to prepare effective guidance for public school districts across Texas.
Let's continue to do our part by adhering to the guidelines Nurse Sherry provided.
Additionally, the school has contracted with an outside vendor to "Deep Clean" both Campuses (including the portables) over the Spring Break. More information will be shared tomorrow via email in preparation for the cleaning. As a result, no staff (outside of Custodial/Maintenance and GEP) will be allowed on-site during Spring Break. Our Custodial Staff will also perform extra cleaning of the district offices (Central and Business) and Transportation will take care of our bus/van interiors.
We will inform our school community as we receive updates, information, and resources.
