GREENHILL SCHOOL: Debate Team Wraps Up TFA State Tournament Competition

Greenhill School issued the following announcement on March 10.

The Greenhill Debate Team put together a strong performance this past weekend at the 2020 Texas Forensic Association State Tournament in El Paso. The TFA State Tournament is comprised of over 200 schools - both public and private - in one of the largest and most competitive state tournaments in the country.

2ND PLACE

Nicole Stachowiak '20, Aimee Stachowiak '22, Ashton Higgins '22, Armin Sommer 21 – World Schools Debate

3RD PLACE

Nicole Stachowiak '20 - World Schools Debate (Speaker)

Anais Zhang ’20 – Lincoln Douglas Debate

5TH PLACE

Caroline Greenstone '22, Ashley Shan '22, Cameron Kettles '22, Jothi Gupta '22 – World Schools Debate

8TH PLACE

Ashton Higgins '22 - World Schools Debate (Speaker)

DOUBLE OCTO-FINALS

Krutin Devesh '22 – Lincoln Douglas Debate

Varsha Gande '22 – Lincoln Douglas Debate

Arush Adabala '22 – Lincoln Douglas Debate

In addition, Nikitha Thoduguli '22 earned the distinction of being the only freshman in Greenhill Debate history to qualify for teh TFA State Tournament in Lincoln Douglas Debate.
