The process to revise the Literacy–Reading Language Arts (LRLA) Standards is set to begin in spring 2026. The announcement highlights an effort to enhance literacy instruction based on research, with the aim of benefiting all students.

Stakeholders with experience in language arts and literacy, especially those who are National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs), are encouraged to contribute their perspectives through a brief survey. The survey is intended to gather input on potential areas of focus for the revision.

The organization will provide further updates as the project moves forward. "We look forward to your voice and partnership in elevating this vital work," the statement said.
