Advanced Placement course exams will see some changes this year due to the tests having to be taken online because of COVID-19, Community Impact Plano reported.
The virtual tests will not include multiple choice answers this year and will instead only include free-response questions, the news agency reported. The tests were moved online due to closures because of the coronavirus.
Students are also allowed to use notes and textbooks during each of the tests, the news agency reported. Each exam will be limited to 45 minutes and the tests will be administered on a modified schedule between May 11 and 22.
Plano Independent School District updated students on the changes on April 23 and informed students and parents that the tests will only cover material the students learned up until March 1, according to the news agency.
The news agency reported that students can also take the tests on a large selection of electronic devices.
