Schools throughout Texas are considering their options as they work to return to school in the fall.
Hays CISD is askig parents to help make the decision for how classes should be held in Fall 2020, Spectrum Local News for San Antonio reported.
Options include going back to school normally, still holding virtual classes at home or doing a hybrid of the two.
Throughout remote learning and debating next year's options, parents have praised the district for their clear communication, Spectrum Local News reported.
Hays CISD has asked parents to register their children even if they are planning to continue at-home learning, Spectrum Local News reported. Hays is also adding online tutoring options for the 2020-2021 calendar, which will be helpful for students who have not had the benefit of keeping up with the at-home education pace set since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Summer classes are already being held virtually and started on June 1.
