The Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) recently selected 14 nominees for the 2020 TASA School Board Awards, with the 2020 TASA Outstanding School Board to be decided during the annual convention Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, according to a press release from the TASA.
The nominations are made by the superintendents of the nominated school district and TASA committees then choose one board from a district with fewer than 1,000 students and one board from a district with more than 1,000 students to each be considered for the school-level awards.
In addition to one school board being named the 2020 TASA Outstanding School Board, TASA will choose five of the 14 school boards to be named as 2020 Honor Boards no later than Wednesday, Aug. 12, according to the press release.
One of those five boards will then be chosen during the convention as the 2020 Outstanding School Board.
