Report: North Wayne School District spent $11,483 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Wayne Community Unit School District 200 was up 23.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Wayne County school district spent $9,285 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,483 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 434 to 379 students over the same period.

North Wayne's spending in 2019-20 was 20.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
