Report: Gavin School District spent $11,415 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Gavin School District 37 was down 15.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $13,453 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,415 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 871 to 819 students over the same period.

Gavin's spending in 2019-20 was 21.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
