Report: St. Charles School District spent $14,529 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 was up 9.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kane County school district spent $13,258 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,529 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 12,915 to 12,236 students over the same period.

St. Charles's spending in 2019-20 was 0.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
