Report: Moline Coal Valley School District spent $10,543 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Moline Coal Valley Community Unit School District 40 was up 2.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Rock Island County school district spent $10,286 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,543 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 7,329 to 7,238 students over the same period.

Moline Coal Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 27.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
