Report: Westville School District spent $9,817 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Westville Community Unit School District 2 was up 16.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Vermilion County school district spent $8,410 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,817 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,304 to 1,265 students over the same period.

Westville's spending in 2019-20 was 32.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
