Report: Litchfield School District spent $9,300 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Litchfield Community Unit School District 12 was up 10.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Montgomery County school district spent $8,442 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,300 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,457 to 1,377 students over the same period.

Litchfield's spending in 2019-20 was 35.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
