Report: Crete Monee School District spent $15,937 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Crete Monee Community Unit School District 201U was up 28.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $12,442 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,937 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,937 to 4,496 students over the same period.

Crete Monee's spending in 2019-20 was 10 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
