Report: Annawan School District spent $11,941 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Annawan Community Unit School District 226 was up 19.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Henry County school district spent $9,994 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,941 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 382 to 353 students over the same period.

Annawan's spending in 2019-20 was 17.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
