Report: Flora School District spent $9,202 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Flora Community Unit School District 35 was up 9.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clay County school district spent $8,381 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,202 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,389 to 1,347 students over the same period.

Flora's spending in 2019-20 was 36.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
