Report: Prairie Hill School District spent $10,430 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Prairie Hill Community Consolidated School District 133 was up 22.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Winnebago County school district spent $8,512 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,430 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 761 to 729 students over the same period.

Prairie Hill's spending in 2019-20 was 28 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
