Matt McKeever Director | Jobs for the Future
Jobs for the Future (JFF) has shared policy and funding recommendations with the Trump administration for its fiscal year 2026 budget request to Congress. The aim is to eliminate barriers in education and workforce systems, ensuring no dead ends for workers and learners.
Maria Flynn, CEO of JFF, delivered a letter to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on March 11, urging consideration of several measures. These measures focus on expanding economic pathways, broadening employer partnerships, advancing adult learning opportunities, connecting learners to colleges and careers, and supporting research and innovation.
The recommendations are part of JFF's "No Dead Ends" campaign and build upon policy suggestions from their Federal Policy Blueprint for the Trump Administration and Legislative Agenda for Congress issued earlier. JFF's advocacy efforts aim to align the budget and policy with national economic needs, talent development, business support, and job accessibility.
The letter's timing is crucial as the OMB prepares the President’s Budget Request, which outlines the administration’s funding and policy priorities for Congress's budget drafting process and federal program funding.
JFF invites support for its cause through a pledge to stay updated on their efforts to remove systemic blockages in education and workforce access.
