The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council, part of the Iowa Department of Education, will host its annual STEM Day at the Iowa State Fair on Sunday, August 17. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the Grand Concourse at the fairgrounds in Des Moines.
STEM Day offers attendees opportunities to participate in hands-on activities presented by businesses and organizations from across Iowa. Live performances are scheduled on the MidAmerican Energy Stage between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., featuring presentations from Blank Park Zoo, the Grout Museum, Wartburg College, and the Local 5 Weather Lab Experience.
The event is sponsored by Alliant Energy, Collins Aerospace, Google, and MidAmerican Energy.
