Friendswood Independent School District issued the following announcement.
Friendswood ISD officially named Lindsey Foley the Executive Director of Human Resources during the FISD School Board of Trustees Meeting on Monday, Dec. 14.
Foley has been with Friendswood ISD since 2017, serving in the role of Director of Business Services since 2019. Previously, she held the position of Accounting Manager. Prior to her time in Friendswood, Foley served in multiple business roles at Santa Fe ISD including the role of Director of Business Services. During that time, she oversaw several functions of the HR Department.
She has a master’s degree in Business Administration and is a certified Texas School Business Specialist. Foley also served on the District Strategic Design committee and has been a member of the District Leadership Team for the last two years. Foley’s husband Jason is a Friendswood High School graduate. Her daughter Hunter currently attends Westwood Elementary and her son Jax will be headed to kindergarten in a couple of years.
“I am really excited about my new role and how our department will focus on the District’s call to action in how we welcome new employees to the District while building authentic relationships and fostering trust with all staff each and every day,” Foley said.
FISD Superintendent Thad Roher said he believes Foley’s leadership will connect multiple departments of FISD into a team with endless possibilities.
“[Foley] has a vision for a Human Resources Department that supports FISD beliefs and goals,” Roher said. “She has proven to be a problem solver and someone who goes the extra mile. She has a heart of service that is going to reach deep into the current and employees of FISD.”
“[Petree and Foley] have been a great part of our FISD team,” Roher said. “I have no doubt each of them will continue to add to our culture of excellence here in Friendswood.”
