Report: Bloom School District spent $18,692 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bloom Township High School District 206 was up 18.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $15,803 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,692 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,111 to 2,788 students over the same period.

Bloom's spending in 2019-20 was 29 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
