Report: New Hope School District spent $8,748 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at New Hope Community Consolidated School District 6 was up 12.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Wayne County school district spent $7,759 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,748 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 178 to 192 students over the same period.

New Hope's spending in 2019-20 was 39.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
