Report: East Coloma Nelson Consolidated School District spent $12,328 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at East Coloma Nelson Consolidated Elementary School District 20 was up 32.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Whiteside County school district spent $9,320 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,328 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 291 to 232 students over the same period.

East Coloma Nelson Consolidated's spending in 2019-20 was 14.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
