Report: Beecher City School District spent $11,824 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Beecher City Community Unit School District 20 was up 12.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Effingham County school district spent $10,477 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,824 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 320 to 325 students over the same period.

Beecher City's spending in 2019-20 was 18.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
