Report: Signal Hill School District spent $11,807 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Signal Hill School District 181 was up 17.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saint Clair County school district spent $10,024 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,807 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 377 to 323 students over the same period.

Signal Hill's spending in 2019-20 was 18.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
