Report: Grayville School District spent $10,588 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grayville Community Unit School District 1 was up 13.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the White County school district spent $9,301 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,588 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 311 to 278 students over the same period.

Grayville's spending in 2019-20 was 26.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
