Report: Erie School District spent $19,368 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Erie Community Unit School District 1 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Whiteside County school district spent $18,096 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,368 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 665 to 647 students over the same period.

Erie's spending in 2019-20 was 33.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
