Report: Bethel School District spent $9,622 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bethel School District 82 was down 1.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jefferson County school district spent $9,746 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,622 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 178 to 189 students over the same period.

Bethel's spending in 2019-20 was 33.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
