Report: Sunnybrook School District spent $12,912 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sunnybrook School District 171 was up 13 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,426 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,912 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,023 to 979 students over the same period.

Sunnybrook's spending in 2019-20 was 10.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
