Report: Diamond Lake School District spent $17,140 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Diamond Lake School District 76 was up 36.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $12,576 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $17,140 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,049 to 918 students over the same period.

Diamond Lake's spending in 2019-20 was 18.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
