Report: Eldorado School District spent $11,023 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Eldorado Community Unit School District 4 was up 20 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saline County school district spent $9,183 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,023 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,224 to 1,172 students over the same period.

Eldorado's spending in 2019-20 was 23.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
