Report: Kinnikinnick School District spent $9,780 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Kinnikinnick Community Consolidated School District 131 was up 20.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Winnebago County school district spent $8,100 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,780 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,808 to 1,797 students over the same period.

Kinnikinnick's spending in 2019-20 was 32.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
