Report: Washington School District spent $7,698 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Washington School District 52 was up 1.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Tazewell County school district spent $7,576 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $7,698 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 941 to 915 students over the same period.

Washington's spending in 2019-20 was 46.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
