Report: Winfield School District spent $21,096 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Winfield School District 34 was up 21.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $17,404 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,096 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 320 to 311 students over the same period.

Winfield's spending in 2019-20 was 45.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
