Report: McClellan School District spent $12,129 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at McClellan Community Consolidated School District 12 was up 41.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jefferson County school district spent $8,558 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,129 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 67 to 56 students over the same period.

McClellan's spending in 2019-20 was 16.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
