Report: Waltham School District spent $12,763 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Waltham Community Consolidated School District 185 was up 23.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the La Salle County school district spent $10,303 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,763 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 220 to 196 students over the same period.

Waltham's spending in 2019-20 was 11.9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
