Report: Massac County School District spent $10,990 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Massac County Unit School District #1 was up 15.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Massac County school district spent $9,524 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,990 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,186 to 2,031 students over the same period.

Massac County's spending in 2019-20 was 24.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
