Report: Tri City School District spent $10,605 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Tri City Community Unit School District 1 was up 12.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Sangamon County school district spent $9,438 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,605 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 575 to 549 students over the same period.

Tri City's spending in 2019-20 was 26.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
