Report: Akin School District spent $16,210 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Akin Community Consolidated School District 91 was up 14.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Franklin County school district spent $14,132 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,210 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 91 to 102 students over the same period.

Akin's spending in 2019-20 was 11.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
