Report: Riley School District spent $12,303 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Riley Community Consolidated School District 18 was up 19.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $10,266 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,303 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 310 to 277 students over the same period.

Riley's spending in 2019-20 was 15.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
