Report: Aviston School District spent $7,488 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Aviston School District 21 was up 20.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Clinton County school district spent $6,235 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $7,488 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 387 to 385 students over the same period.

Aviston's spending in 2019-20 was 48.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
