Report: Cypress School District spent $9,493 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Cypress Elementary School District 64 was up 14.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Johnson County school district spent $8,287 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,493 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 130 to 120 students over the same period.

Cypress's spending in 2019-20 was 34.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
