Report: Richland Grade School District spent $12,145 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Richland Grade School District 88A was up 13.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $10,703 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,145 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 925 to 880 students over the same period.

Richland Grade's spending in 2019-20 was 16.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
